Future clients’ dogs must meet the requirements below:

Daycare at fido fido is for happy, well-adjusted dogs.  All dogs must be registered at fido fido and be evaluated by fido fido staff before attending daycare or boarding.  Proof from your veterinarian of current Rabies, DHLP, Parvo and Bordetella vaccinations is required, negative results of a recent fecal test, as well current use of a flea preventative prior to attending daycare. Please make sure your paperwork is in our hands BEFORE you bring your dog in. There is a one-time, non-refundable $25 evaluation fee. This fee includes the following:

• Evaluation of your dog to make sure he socializes well with other dogs and people and is happy in a daycare environment
• Review and processing of your registration form
  
• Verification of your pet's vaccinations and evaluation of your pet’s physical condition
  

Age: All dogs must be at least 16 weeks.  Dogs over 12 years of age may require a waiver.

Sex: All dogs must be spayed or neutered over 6 months of age.

Breed Restrictions: To ensure the safety of our staff and our clients and their pets, fido fido does not accept the following breeds: American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and mixed variations thereof. Additionally, we reserve the right to turn away any dog deemed aggressive toward people or another dog.

Health: All dogs must be in good health. All dogs must be reasonably mobile and in good physical condition. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition within the last 30 days will require a veterinarian’s certification of health to be admitted or re-admitted. fido fido requires that your dog receive a Bordetella vaccination every six (6) months.  Please make sure your dog is up-to-date prior to their next visit.  

Behavior: All dogs must be non-aggressive toward humans and other dogs. No bullies allowed! Please remember that your dog will be spending time with other dogs and that their safety, health and happiness is our main concern. Daycare is not for every dog. If your dog is not admitted or asked to leave because of behavior problems, we will be happy to work with you to find or suggest other alternatives.

Reservations: Required for daycare and boarding. If your dog comes 3 days a week, we encourage you to keep those days as consistent as possible. This way, your dog will become familiar and more at ease with his/her dog buddies. We require 24 hours notice to cancel a boarding reservation. Failure to do so may result in a $50 cancellation fee. 72 hours hours (3 days) notice is required for holiday cancellation to avoid $100.00 fee.  72 hours is calculated from the first scheduled day of boarding.

Collars: All dogs must have quick release collar with name tag. These are safer in case playing dogs get tangled in another dog’s collar. Staff can easily release the collar.
